There's no line waiting to vote at my voting place. Sure there's a steady stream of folks, but if there's a crowd you might need to wait for 4 other folks in line ahead of you.
So I'm done! BTW I voted NO on the new "Justice Center" for Johnson County. Bunch of propaganda if I ever heard it.
OK commentary is over.

One More Thing to Like About Small Towns

Tomorrow is the BIG Day!
So, this is what woke me up today. I'm one of those people who waits until THE day to go vote. So tomorrow when I get up, that will be my first thing to do. Thanks Barack for stopping by today!
Halloween is Gone Thanksgiving is Coming
So trick or treating on the church steps was pretty fun. We had over 100 kids come by. But we still had some candy left over. So now it will magically turn into Thanksgiving treats!
I printed out this cute rhyme written by my pal over Here.
I printed it on fall-ish colored paper then punched it out with my little scallop punch.
Then I used my BIG circle punch to punch out cute printed paper. I folded it in half and ....
stapled the folded circle to the top of the little bags of "thanksgiving treats"
Then I used double stick tape to adhere the rhyme to the top of the "Thanksgiving Treat".
There! All done. Ready to go to the bazaar on the 17th!

Word
Check it out! I have Office with Word! It was a hassle getting it, but YAY! I got it! I wanted to move it from my old computer, but i guess that's not possible, well not for me anyways! But I NEED to have Word, it's what I use for the Sunday bulletin and the monthly newsletter.
And I had to get me fonts gathered back up too. I found a lot of new ones too! Lookie at those cute snowmen!
Changing computers is sure not fun, but I think I've about got it in order now!

Done, Done and Done
So I finished table runners for my church's tables...
Don't those look nice!?
I used a tutorial called The 10 Minute Tablerunner, well they might be 10 minute for folks who don't choose a one way print fabric and make a cutting error...well it might have been a 20 minute table runnerX8. Anyways here's the link I used.
And lastly, I was on a mission to find some dollhouse furniture for a handmade dollhouse that was built for Our Church Auction. SO if you haven't priced doll house furniture lately, it's pretty pricy. But I got a little bit and it will be enough to get some lucky little person inspired. Dang I guess I didn't take a picture of the whole house, anyways it's huge and heavy and will last a long time!
Here's a link to our Supper, bazaar and auction information too! Come and bid on the doll house!

I'm pretty sure you could make it in 10 minutes if you do it like the directions say...but what kind of fun is that?
I also finished a couple of these
Cute huh? These will be for the bazaar coming up on November 17. Maybe I'll get a few more of them done before then. Here's the link for the tutorials on how to make these..Christmas Stocking FunAnd lastly, I was on a mission to find some dollhouse furniture for a handmade dollhouse that was built for Our Church Auction.
