ReUse Labels

I just finished cpoying and preparing the church newsletter and I think this is one of the best ideas I've had in awhile. The postal Service changed up the rules for mailing things, so we had to find a way to seal up both sides of the newsletters that we wanted to mail. We tried scotch tape first, but you can't open the newsletter very easily with tape. Then I noticed the letters I get in the mail from other places used stickers-like dots. Well stickers can be anything! So we had a whole box of these old labels around from back in the day.....I don't even know who has a printer like this anymore these days!
So I ripped off about 4 feet of them and cut them into about 4 pieces. WOW am I clever or what!!!
So now I just slap one of the new label seals on each edge of the newsletter and TA-DA, the postal folks love us again! AND the labels get used instead of being thrown away or being in the way! I've been doing this for about a year now and I think I'll have enough labels to last till about 2025.

I Can't believe it's true........

Look at this!! Just look!! ARGGGGGHH!!, I got off work yesterday morning-almost 7am!! and look !!!! FROST! I had to SCRAPE the windows on my car!!!

A Stop in Amana

So you saw that awesome quilt pattern earlier, the Christmas one? Yes, I can hardly wait to get started on it. So I stopped over in Amana at the Heritage Needlework shop and picked up a couple of greens for the trees, they have such a nice big shop!

And here are a few shots of the scenery in Amana.

The new sidewalks are sure nice-well new a few years ago anyways. It's October Fest this weekend...I really should be over there listening to the polka band.

Dogs Trick or Treat

So it's all done!

See I ran the fabric through the printer to make the Happy Halloween Moon.

And here's a little Iowa nod...see all that blanket stitching, I don't think I want to be doing that again anytime soon.

I like the ratty looking stick it's hanging from too. Pretty cute huh!

Library Books

I Love my Library. And here's one thing I have discovered. Large Print Books!! Yup...hey, don't be mean!!!! Look it's soooo nice to be able to read before going to bed without my glasses on. AND bonus!..Most of the time if I want to read a new release and it's all gone from the "regular" books, I can get it from the large print section. Really, Why even bother with regular print books!LOL!

This is the latest Joe Pike novel from Robert Crais..it was really good. I loved the title, and story tie in. Anyways look how nice & big  the type is. Oh I guess I could have picked a "cleaner" paragraph to photograph, huh?
