So I was going to the annual Ralston Creek Flea market in Iowa City. It's moved to a location across from the Old Train Depot. So I lucked out and got an excellent parking spot and of course I'm on the wrong side of the tracks and had to wait for a train.....So I snapped a few pics of the depot-it's really a very cool building.

See these are the bricks out front by the tracks, they say Des Moines on them, must have been a pretty good brick manufacturer there. Wouldn't it seem funny to get off the train back in the day in Iowa City and have the bricks say Des Moines..I'd worry I was in the wrong place!!!
There were a ton of vendors there. Everything from furniture, to books, and nick-knacks , and there was music! A very wonderful group with an old fashioned Irish type of sound, they were very good!
It looked like it might rain so I think the crowds were a little small but I could see quite a few more folks arriving as I was leaving. And I didn't buy ANYTHING! Even though I totally wanted those see no evil, hear no evil speak no evil monkeys sitting there by the guitars!!!!
The men played a friendly game of cribbage while the ladies gabbed. Even though my DD and Uber Son don't really "enjoy" the reunion, they always end of having a pleasant time. 
It's good for them to remember they are part of a bigger picture,. Here they are clowning for the camera with my wonderful cousin. 
See the middle sized bag is on top of the large size bag, it's quite a difference.
And the next best thing is that I used up this coordinating fabric that I had stashed for quite awhile. I seem to remember thinking of making a bag or purse from it back when DD was in middle school!! I'm thinking that these big bags just might make good Christmas gift exchange bags, maybe in a more gender neutral pattern. So I was just looking at the pattern envelope to see the number and jeez!! The retail on this baby is $17.95!!!! Get outta here!!!! You can buy it at McCallpattern dot mccall dot com for 10 but i got it at JoAnn for 99 cents! Gotta watch those sale flyers!! Wonder what the deal is with pattern companies? Nobody would pay $17.95 for a bag pattern!!!!
